The fourth round of this
year's inter club competition for the Dr Lowe Shield
will be played at the Storws Wen G C Brynteg this Sunday
July 3rd.
Competitors are reminded that
because of current on going building work parking spaces
are limited in the designated parking areas.

The Anglesey county team lost its second match of the
season when beaten 5.5 to 3.5 by Flintshire at Bull Bay
G C.
The home side halved the morning foursome 1.5 points
each - Anglesey's success recorded by Bull Bay pairing
of Sion Thomas and Gareth Owen who scored a 4 and 3
victory. Another Bull Bay pairing of Ian Norgain and M
Hulme lost their match 2 and 1 while Anglesey G C's Marc
Jones (Captain) and Kieran Robinson halved their game.
Owen and Thomas won their opening afternoon singles by a
solitary hole but the other four matches were won by the
visitors.
The Anglesey team faces Denbighshire in the final match
of the season at Henllys G C on July 10th.

Henllys Golf Club Beaumaris hosted the
third round of this year's inter club Seniors team
competition for the Rawlinson Shield.
Following completion of play Henllys G C accumulated the
most points with a total of 212. Other scores returned
were: Holyhead G C 200
Storws Wen G C 194
Bull Bay G C 188
Baron hill G C 182
Anglesey G C 170
Henllys G C members dominated the individual returns
with Arie Blydenstein (13) recording 42 points to pip
fellow member Rob Tomkins (20) by two points.
Ray Lipscombe (17) also from the Henllys G C returned
the best return by a reserve with 38 points.

Henllys Golf club , Beaumaris this Thursday, June 9th.

In the opening match of this year's North Wales
Counties league Anglesey lost 7 - 2 to their
Caernarfonshire opponents.
The island team halved the morning foursomes 1.5 each
but the home side won the afternoon singles 5.5 to 0.5.
Results - foursomes (Anglesey names first):
S Thomas and G Owen beat I Lewis and J Spencer 4 and 3.
Adam Williams and M Rankenholm halved with S Harpin and
L Scharpe.
M Jones and K Robinson lost to T Evans and D Green 4 and
3.

Thomas halved with Harpin
Owen lost to Green 2 holes
Rankenhohn lot to Scharpe 4 and 3

last Saturday May 7th.
