 Henllys Golf Club Regain The Rawlinson Shield

A team representing Henllys G C, Beaumaris regained the Rawlinson Shield, the inter club Seniors team Championship, when the final round was played at the Storws Wen G C, Brynteg.

Team scores for the final round were:-
Baron Hill G C 173
Holyhead G C 168
Henllys G C 167
Storws Wen GC 164
Bull Bay G C 152
AngleseyG C 114

The best individual score of 35 points was returned by D Hughes of the Holyhead G C on a card countback from R Clarke of Baron Hill G C.

Final overall team scores were:-
Henllys G C 1081
Storws Wen 1078
Holyhead G C 1077
Baron Hill G C 1051
Bulll Bay G C 1050
Anglesey G C 934

 Rawlinson Shield Final Round
 

23/09/19

The sixth and final round of the inter club Seniors team competition for the Rawlinson shield will be played at the Storws Wen G C this Wednesday, September 25th.

Two clubs, Storws Wen and Hernllys G C currently tie for the lead with Holyhead G C five shots further adrift - an exciting finish is therefore expected.

 Third In Wales

Bull Bay G C hosted the Welsh Inter Counties team championship recently.

Captained by Henllys G C 's Adam Williams the Anglesey County team finished third behind winners Caernarfonshire and runners up Glamorganshire.

Anglesey's team consisted of Dewi Caughter and Darren Owen (Henllys G C), Marc Jones and Howie Hughes (Anglesey G C) Jack Carter, Danny Roberts and Sion Thomas (Bull Bay G C).

The best individual score of 70 was returned by Bull Bay G C's Sion Thomas.
 

 
 Seniors Championship
 

18/09/19

Over seventy of the island's Senior golfers competed in the County Seniors Championship recently held at the Henllys G C, Beaumaris.

The winner of the 18 hole medal competition was host club member K M Williams who recorded 93 - 24 - 69.

Other group winners were E Christie (Holyhead) who scored 85 - 12 - 73 and Brian Cowburn (Henllys Hal) who returned 88 -16 -72.

The best gross score of the day was returned by Mark Perdue( Bull Bay G C) with a score of 77.

Henllys G C won the team competition - their six man team comprising of A Blydenstein, G Charker, K Wild, B Cowburn, A Basham and R Tomkin.

 Roberts is Championship

Paul Roberts of the Holyhead G C is the new County match play champion.

In a closely fought final played at Henllys G C Beaumaris the Holyhead golfer narrowly beat Bull Bay GC member Sion Thomas by a one hole margin.
 

 
 Rawlinson Shield

Holyhead G C hosted the fifth round of this year's Inter club Seniors team competition for the Rawlinson Shield.

Team scores for the day were:
Holyhead G C 183
Bull Bay G C 171
Storws Wen G C 171
Henllys G C 165
Anglesey G C 126

The best individual score was returned by Anglesey G C's Lee Macey who recorded 39 pts - Keith Thompson, Holyhead GC recorded 36 points to claim the best reserve score.

Overall scores with one round left to be played at Storws Wen G C on Wednesday September 25th are:

 County Match Play Championship
 

03/09/19

The final of the county Scratch match  play  Championship will be played on Friday, September 6th at Henllys Hall G C - tee off 3:30pm.

In the 18 hole final Holyhead G C 's Paul Roberts will play Sion Thomas of Bull Bay G C.
 
In the semi final Roberts beat Henllys G C's Matthew Rankenhohn by a 4 and 2 score line at Holyhead G C with Thomas being awarded a walk over by his fellow Bull Bay member Danny Roberts.
