 Success At Holyhead


The County team moved off the bottom of the N W C G A Inter county league table after a 7.5 to 4.5 success against Denbighshire at Holyhead G C.

The morning foursome games finished level - both sides registering two successes.

The home county dominated the afternoon singles winning five and halving one of the eight games played.

Anglesey travel to play at Denbigh G C in the return match on Sunday, August 7th.

 County Past Captains Competition


Anglesey's Past Captains competition will be played at Holyhead G C on Thursday August 25th.

Details of the eighteen hole stableford competition have been circulated to member clubs and entries close on Friday, August 19th.

 Baron Hill Seniors Lead By 33 Points


The fourth round of the Inter club Seniors competition for the Rawlinson Shield was played at Baron Hill G, Beaumaris.

The Captain of Storws Wen G C, Gwyn Hughes, returned the best individual return with 38pts.

Team totals for the day (best six individual stableford points total counting) were:

Baron Hill G C 210pts
Holyhead G C 190 pts
Bull Bay G C 180pts
Storws Wen G C 179pts
Henllys Hall G C 166pts
Anglesey G C 157 pts

Overall totals, with two rounds remaining, are:

Baron Hill G C 766 pts
Holyhead G C 733 pts
Bull Bay G C 716 pts
Storws Wen G C 714 pts
Anglesey G C 699 pts
Henllys Hall G C 689 pts

The fifth round of the competition will be played at the Henllys G C on Thursday, August 11th.

 Rawlinson Shield


The fourth round of this year's Inter club Seniors team competition for the Rawlinson shield will be played at the Baron Hill G C, Beaumaris on Thursday, July 14th.

 County Team Suffer A Heavy Defeat


The county team was beaten 10.5 to 1.5 by Flintshire at Old Padeswood G C.

Flintshire currently lead the N W C G A table having won the first three matches played.

The Anglesey team will be hoping to make use of home advantage when Denbighshire provides the opposition at Holyhead G C on Sunday, June 24th.
