 Past Captains Competition


The annual Past Captains competition was staged at the Baron Hill G C, Beaumaris. The eighteen hole stableford event was won by host club member Wyn Thomas who recorded 37 stableford points playing off a handicap of 12. The runner up, playing off 19 was Adrian Jones (Anglesey G C) and fifteen handicapped Andy Reid scored 34 points to finish third.

 County Past Captains Championship


The Baron Hill club, Beaumaris will host the County Past Captains Championship this coming Thursday, August 24th. Competitors in the eighteen hole stableford competition will tee off from 1 -00 p m onwards.

 Rawlinson Shield


The Baron Hill G C, Beaumaris hosted the fifth round of the Inter club Seniors team competition for the Rawlinson Shield.

Team scores for the day were:

Baron Hil G C 192
Holyhead G C 184
Bull Bay G C 181
Storws Wen G C 173
Anglesey G C 170
Henllys Hall G C 162

The best individual score on the day was returned by Geraint Jones of the Anglesey G C with a points total of 35

Overall team scores with one round remaining to be played are:

Bull Bay G C 699
Storws Wen G C 673
Henllys Hall G C 647
Anglesey G C 467

The final round will be played at the Henllys G C on Thursday, September 7th.

 County Match Play Championship


In the semi finals of the County match play Championship county team Captain, Ian Norgain of the Bull Bay club, beat fellow club member, Mark Perdue by a 3 and 2 score line. The other semi final saw another Bull Bay member, Dan Roberts, beat Sion Thomas by 3 and 2.

The 18 hole final will be played before the end of August.

 County Team Share Points with Denbighshire at Holyhead


In a N W C G A Championship fixture Anglesey's county team shared the points after halving the match with Denbighshire 4 points each. This followed a 5.5 to 2.5 reverse against Flintshire at Northop in early season. Anglesey's final match will be played at Rhos on Sea G C on September 3rd when defending champions Caernarfonshire will provide the opposition.
